Computer vision inspection systems for industrial parts

PIXIQA builds camera-based inspection systems that detect defects, validate parts and reduce manual inspection in manufacturing environments.

No black boxes. No vague quotes. Clear scope, clear pricing logic, real production testing.

Camera-based inspection for real production parts

We build inspection systems for specific parts and defects. Each system is tailored to the production environment — no generic solutions.

Defect detection

Scratches, cracks, burns, contamination, surface anomalies on plastic, metal or transparent parts.

Dimensional checks

Edges, holes, angles, circularity, alignment — measured against tolerances with sub-pixel accuracy.

Presence / absence

Clips, pins, labels, inserts, components — confirm everything is placed before packaging or assembly.

Surface quality

Texture variations, discoloration, waviness, roughness — detected with controlled lighting setups.

Assembly validation

Verify assembled parts meet specifications. Correct orientation, position and completeness.

Custom workflows

Tailored logic for specific part types, defect criteria and production line integration requirements.

From diagnosis to deployed inspection

01

Free initial diagnosis

We review your part, defect types, production constraints and available images/videos. This is free and used to decide if the problem is worth a paid pilot.

02

Paid industrial pilot

We build and test a first working version using real parts and production conditions. The pilot covers development, factory testing, user feedback and one iteration cycle.

03

Final implementation

If the pilot proves value, we deploy the final inspection system with the agreed hardware, software, operator interface and validation criteria.

04

Choose your model

After implementation, choose between PIXIQA Care for continuous support or Autonomous Product if you want to own the system and take responsibility internally.

Transparent pricing for inspection systems

We keep pricing transparent. Final pricing depends on part complexity, number of cameras, defect size, number of references and factory integration. The numbers below are indicative, not a final quote.

Why show pricing?

Industrial inspection projects often waste time because both sides wait for a quote before understanding the order of magnitude. We prefer transparent pricing logic. The calculator gives a realistic starting point before we review the real part, defect samples and factory constraints.

Industrial Pilot

Before deployment

Before a full deployment, most projects go through a paid industrial pilot. The pilot pays for development time, factory testing and partial equipment commitment.

Pilot = Setup Fee + Monthly Development × Months + 30% Reusable Hardware + 100% Custom Hardware
Setup Fee€5,000
Monthly Development€5,000/month
Typical Duration4 months
Reusable Hardware Contribution30%
Custom Hardware100%
Typical 4-month pilot:
€5,000 + 4 × €5,000 + 30% hardware = €25,000 + 30% hardware

The 30% hardware contribution is credited if the client moves forward with final implementation. PIXIQA keeps ownership of pilot hardware unless the final system is purchased.

Autonomous Product

For manufacturers who want to buy the system, own the hardware and take internal responsibility after acceptance.

from €52,000 one-time
Autonomous = Final System + 18 × €950
Example: €40,000 + €17,100 ≈ €57,000

Includes:

  • Final inspection system
  • Hardware ownership transferred to client
  • Software license for the delivered version
  • Operator interface
  • Initial documentation
  • Initial training
  • Acceptance testing
  • Limited warranty after acceptance

Does not include:

  • Monthly support
  • Retraining
  • Software updates
  • Performance monitoring
  • Future process changes, new defects, new references
  • Long-term responsibility from PIXIQA

Rules:

Practical inspection, not corporate promises

PIXIQA is a focused computer vision project based in Coimbra, Portugal, building practical inspection systems for manufacturers. We work directly with real parts, real defects and real production constraints.

We evaluate feasibility honestly. We do not promise perfect detection — we engineer systems that work within your production constraints and quality targets.
